Pen Tutorial

16. Press M and open Material Editor. In a material slot change standard material to Multi/sub object. Open ID 1  material and choose the Metal Crome Material from Material Library as shown.

                           

 

17. Now go to Parent material and open ID 2  material and choose the Metal Black Plain from Material Library as shown.

 

18. In ID 3 Material we have to make Rubber grip, open material, In standard material open Maps rollout, change the value of bump from 30 to 450 and enter in bump section

 

 

19. You have to choose bitmap in material/map browser, in Bitmap Parameter Rollout select the image 'Switch. jpg' for bumping

 

In coordinate rollout set the values of tiling as shown.

    

 

20.Apply the material to pen but for bumping we have to apply UVW map modifier to the cylinder. Change the dimension of uvw mapping as shown in fig.

 

 

21 The rest of ID material set as you wish by using same procedure. And finally our Pen is ready  to write.
